Pierre et Gilles

Hello All.

These couple of artist from France are fascinating. They are couple in life and at work and you can notice and feel that connection in their work. 

Pierre is a photographer and Gilles is a painter. They met at a party in the 70s and they have never been apart. So romantic, Don't you think??? As part of an exercise Gilles retouched with paint a photo made by Pierre and it is their signature right now. The final result was very positive. The paint gives a magical touch to the theatrical and Baroque photographs, that you can not get it with just a photograph.  

I was lucky enough to see part of their work in Paris last year, in the exhibition "Masculine" at the Orsay Museum, which explored Masculinity through art from 1800s to present days, where part of Pierre et Gilles's work was present.

Esta pareja de artistas Franceses son fascinantes. Son pareja en vida y en el trabajo, puedes comprobar y sentir esa conexión en su trabajo. 

Pierre es el fotografo y Gilles es el pintor. Se conocieron en una fiesta en los 70s y no se han apartado desde entonces. Que romantico, No creéis????

Como por casualidad, Gilles retoco una foto hecha por Pierre y el resultado final fue muy positivo. La pintura da un toque magico a las fotos teatrales y Barrocas, que hubiera sido imposible adquirir. 

El año pasado fui muy afortunado ya que pude ir a una exposición al museo d'orsay en Paris, que exploraba el arte masculino en el artes desde el 1800 hasta ahora, donde el trabajo de Pierre et Gilles estaba presente.
