Hello All.

I have discovered this artist from Germany, reading the news, as he is having an exhibition in White Cube those days in London. He is known for the person of the figures turned outside down.  Simple thing to do but at the same time so effective.  He shocked many with his painting featuring grotesque figures of men, masturbating or touching themselves.  

I did not know anything of him but I got hooked when I did a research on google, I loved what I saw. Today I am going to his exhibition in London.  He is a painter who is not afraid of using colour as he is not painting people perfect as we are not far away from it. It might be another reason why there are portrait outside down.  Telling us that, hey what are you doing?

He descubierto un nuevo artista de Alemania, leyendo  el periódico. Hay una exposición de su arte en la galleria White Cube de Londres. El es conocido como el artistas de las figuras al revés. Una cosa muy simple de hacer pero muy efectiva.  Impresiono con una pintura de un enano masturbandose. 

No conocía nada del artista, pero me atrapo enseguida que vi fotos de tus pinturas cuando hice una búsqueda en google. Hoy voy a ir a ver la exposición. Es un pintor que no se siente intimidado por los colores, y que no dibuja personas perfectas, ya que estamos muy lejos de la perfección. Puede ser la razón por la que los situa al revés, diciéndonos pero que estáis haciendo? 

Torch Song Trilogy/Trilogia de Nueva York

Hello All.

In 1989, I was lucky enough to watch the film Torch Song Trilogy in my hometown Burgos with a friend. Since that moment it has always been one of my favourites films of all the time, if not the first. 

Years after I have discovered that it was a very successful play in Broadway on the 70s written by Harvey Fierstein.

Story line is very simple but it has not been shown before. I did not have any reference before that. Love between two guys in the big screen. I remembered it as an inflection point in my life. That is why that film stays still as the LGBT reference in my life. 

If you have not watched yet or have not heard about it. Do it!!! So recommended.

In 1989, fui al cine con un amigo y por suerte fuimos a ver Trilogía de Nueva York en mi ciudad Burgos. Desde ese momento siempre ha estado entre mis favoritas sino la mas. 

Años después descubrí que había sido una obra de teatro en Broadway de mucho éxito en los años 70s, escrita por Harvey Fierstein. 

La historia es muy simple, una historia de amor, que no se había mostrado hasta entonces. Una historia de amor entre dos hombres. Lo recuerdo como un punto de inflexión en mi vida.  Por esa razón todavía pertenece entre mis referentes en el cine LGBT. 

Si no la has vista todavía, o no has oído hablar de ella. Ve a verla!!!! Muy recomendable.

Mother's day/Dia de la Madre

Dear Moms,
Today although in Spin is Mother's day.
You can say/write thousands of lines about them and it would never be enough. They are so caring, supportive, delicate...etc. Incredible creatures and not one day....every single one. For that reason and more Happy Mother's Day.  Happy Day Mom.

Hoy es el día de la Madre en España.
Uno puede escribir/decir mucho sobre ellas y nunca sera suficiente. Son cariñosas,  te apoyan, delicadas....etc. Increibles criaturas y no solo un día....todos los dias de su vida. Por esa razón un millón más Feliz día de la Madre. Felicidades Mama.
